Data Link Connector or DLC Cable connects MDI 2 to vehicles build after 1996 to perform Pass-Thru programming utilizing the J1962 connector. The DLC cable is twice as long as the previous cable and connects at the top, making it easier to use. The cable only connects to the MDI 2. Please see “Multiple Diagnostic Interface 2 User Guide” under EL-52100 (GM Dealers) or EL-52100-AM (Non GM Dealers) for further instructions.
